At Diplomatic Language Services (DLS), we’ve long believed that our greatest strength lies in our people. As we continue to deepen our commitment to Customer Intimacy and explore the transformative power of artificial intelligence (AI), we’re focused on a simple but powerful idea: company performance grows when individual capability grows.
That’s why this spring, we launched a company-wide initiative to build AI literacy across every department. The goal isn’t just adopting new tools—it’s about helping every member of our team use AI to unlock more creativity, remove friction from daily tasks, and focus on high-impact work.
Many of our staff have already completed two foundational AI training courses and are now participating in hands-on departmental sessions led by our internal AI Liaison, Abby Roberson. These sessions explore real-world applications of tools like ChatGPT, Canva AI, Notion AI, and Otter.ai—demonstrating how AI can serve as a force multiplier, not a replacement.
We’re guided by three key principles:
- Use AI as an amplifier, not a replacement. Let it help us think, not think for us.
- Keep humans at the center. Relationships—especially those with our clients—are our greatest asset.
- Protect space for creativity, ambiguity, and reflection. Not everything worth doing can be measured.
This isn’t just training—it’s a culture shift. It’s about equipping our people with the mindset and tools to grow, adapt, and thrive in a rapidly changing world.
As AI continues to reshape the workplace, we believe the organizations that will succeed are those that keep their people at the center of their transformation—empowered, informed, and inspired.

“AI won’t replace you. A person using AI will.” — Andrew Ng
