On Mother’s Day weekend, DLS employees gathered early in the morning in Washington, DC, to participate in the annual Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure. This was the fifth year that we have participated in this event! With our fantastic bake sale plus online donations, we raised $1,489 as a team.
As we walked, jogged, and ran through the scenic routes of Washington, DC, our spirits were high, and our hearts were full. The Komen Global Race for the Cure is more than just a race; it’s a powerful platform for raising awareness, honoring survivors, and remembering those we’ve lost to breast cancer. Being a part of this event, surrounded by thousands of participants all united for a common cause, was an incredibly moving experience.
