DLS Expands Locations in 2014

DLS will be opening a new training location in Elkridge, MD this January. Located next to the MARC Dorsey Station, this new location will have ten well-equipped classrooms, a conference room, and a kitchen. One of DLS’ experienced Language Training Supervisors will set up shop there full-time to oversee the location.

We made the decision to open this location based on our clients’ needs for language training in the area, and also because we want to be able to tailor the DLS learning environment to better serve our students. We also wanted to make DLS in Maryland more accessible for to public transport, and DLS Dorsey Station, located on MARC Camden line, meets that goal. Dorsey Station is a 45 minute (approximate) train ride from Union Station. For more information, please see: http://mta.maryland.gov/marc-station-information#Camden. DLS Dorsey Station is also easily accessible from I-95 and Route 295, and is also very convenient for Baltimore and Annapolis-based students and instructors.

In addition to our relocation in Maryland, DLS has opened a new training location in the Herndon/Reston area of Virginia. Herndon is about 22 miles northwest of Rosslyn and is part of Fairfax County. DLS currently has use of 5 well-appointed classrooms at an office building in Herndon (Coppermine Road). We will be moving to a permanent DLS location in the same area in the spring of 2014. While the final decision has not been made as to whether this permanent school will be in Reston or Herndon, our clients, instructors, and students have all shown great interest in holding classes at this new location; (within 3 weeks of opening we had full classrooms and had to open one more). To meet this growing interest, DLS held a job fair for instructors at the current Herndon location on November 15th, and almost 80 instructors attended.

By opening this new location in a rapidly growing professional and residential area, DLS hopes to even better accommodate the language learning needs, schedules and commuting needs of instructors and students!
