DLS 5k for Lewy Body Dementia

We are proud to announce the return of the DLS 5K for Lewy Body Dementia, an annual event hosted by Diplomatic Language Services to raise awareness and funding for those affected by Lewy body dementia (LBD). This is a cause near and dear to our hearts – check out this post to read about how our staff is directly affected.

This year’s race will take place on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Bon Air Park & Rose Gardens in Arlington, VA. Whether you’re an avid runner or simply want to walk for a cause, this community event is a great way to show support for individuals and families living with LBD.

Race Details

The event will feature:

  • A 5K run/walk along the scenic and mostly flat W&OD Trail

  • A 1-mile fun run for all ages and activity levels

  • Finisher t-shirts for all participants (t-shirts guaranteed only for those who register by July 23)

  • Prizes for top finishers

As always, the event is open to both in-person and virtual participants. If you can’t attend in person, you can still join us by donating, setting up a fundraiser, or participating virtually from anywhere.

A Cause Close to Our Hearts

The DLS 5K is part of our ongoing commitment to giving back and supporting causes that matter to our team. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Lewy Body Dementia Association (LBDA), supporting essential services, research, and education around this challenging neurodegenerative condition.
